Rifle-Toting Teen Gets 3+ Years For Robbing Newburgh Cabbie

NEWBURGH, N.Y. – A teenager who robbed a Newburgh cab driver at gun-point with three of his friends will spend the next three and a half years in prison after being sentenced on Thursday, according to the Times Herald-Record.

Deandre Burnett-Peacock, 17, and his three friends called the cab to their location with the intent of robbing him in December. Burnett-Peacock held the rifle to the victim while the other three robbed him, the Record said. 

The other three teens –Jaziah Reynolds, 16; Markell Williams, 16; and Savion Knight, 16 – are all awaiting sentencing, the Record reported.
